On the ever tumultuous wards of Addenbrookes, disillusioned F2 Robert and beleaguered Reg Nancy work endlessly to keep everything just barely stable. In another world, the endlessly positive Gisellle and her trusty friends Edward and Pip galivant about, curing all form of fantastical malady. But Giselle grows tired of this all too perfect life and the devious Royal Physician has a dastardly scheme to make sure she never sees Andalasia again.
