“The Enchanted Castle” is a children's fantasy overflowing with magic. When four children stumble upon a magical ring that has the power to grant wishes, anything can happen. From hidden treasures and dinosaurs, to statues that come alive; the children lead us on a magical journey through a world of imagination. The situations they encounter are filled with mystery, humour and surprises. This makes it ideally suited to the Fringe, renowned for its innovative and unconventional nature.
Set to a beautiful original score, this original adaptation of Edith Nesbit's much loved fantasy will captivate children and adults alike. With the current overwhelming popularity of children's fantasy, there has never been a better time to bring “The Enchanted Castle” to life on the Fringe stage. And, as this beloved classic enters its centenary year in 2007, we at Peaceful Lion believe that we can create a truly magical theatrical experience.
A remarkably innovative set will bring the magic alive in a visually stunning way, with ingenious use of illusion and an innovative lighting plan. The show will immerse the audience in an extraordinary fantasy world from beginning to end.
“The Enchanted Castle” runs for the entire length of the Fringe: 5 - 27th August 2007
