Easter Week 7 to May Week
Following sell-out runs and critical success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the young and innovative company, Shadwell Opera (Herald Angel Award Winners 2009) presents a new, re-imagined production of Benjamin Britten's comic opera, Albert Herring as part of their Summer tour of the UK for 2011.
This will be no classical production: expect one hundred years of light-hearted village battles between virtue and vice, progress and tradition, decorum and drunkenness, and some delicious music. Combining projection, dance, illusion, free food, paint and rum, this summer's production of Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring is an opportunity to experience the opera of tomorrow.
Come and join in the May Feast!
