Ian and Laurence have been together for years.

This relationship has ‘worked’ well enough for a long time. For Laurence, marriage has been his goal since childhood and he views this as the next logical step. For Ian, this relationship is all he’s known.

Once he did love Laurence with all his heart. Now, he is beginning to feel like an outsider in Laurence’s world.

And now it’s 2001 and same-sex marriage is about to become legal, Ian is confronted with a choice he never thought he would have to make.
