    Margaret Cavendish's The Unnatural Tragedy is play which details the tragedy of womanhood, rather than a traditional tragedy about the fate of kings and nations. Interpolated within the script are some of Cavendish's other plays, including The Religious, The Bridals and The Female Academy.

    The Unnatural Tragedy, a 17th century play by Margaret Cavendish (author of The Blazing World and The Convent of Pleasure), is now accepting self tapes! From the creators of The Duchess of Malfi in Lent 2024, we're putting on The Unnatural Tragedy in Sidney Sussex (either the Chapel or the formal hall, still in conversation). This is going to be another grand performance of a Stuart-era play in a beautiful setting! And now, we want YOUR self tapes!
