August 2005THE CAMBRIDGE MUMMERS, the University’s oldest independent drama society has selected its annual piece of new writing to be toured to the Fringe, and is currently looking for the above, to join the fun, friendly and semi-professional team already in place. The Mummers has a long history of producing new writing, having launched Stephen Fry’s debut play. Recent Mummers productions at the Fringe have gained acclaim from local and national press, two Guardian Awards for student writing in five years and have been transferred to professional productions round the world.
