Pearly Gates: A Kafkaesque Romcom in Heaven is a quasi-uplifting comedy about interdimensional lovers faced with mortality, bureaucracy and the crushing boredom of eternity. Upon stepping into the arrivals lounge, Will is informed that he is in holding for divine punishment. Either Hell, or worse - a bottom karma-band reincarnation as either Gohnorrea, a dung-beetle in the 14th century Sahara Desert, or a nivea labrat. With only seven days to seek redemption and secure his place above the sky, he will encounter many of the bored residents of paradise as he wrestles with the celestial bureaucracy, wrangles with angelic officials and whines about eternity with a workaholic former Pope.

It’s a bustling lunchtime today in Market Square until: the electricity goes out!!! Stall owners rally round to point the finger of blame as their rice threatens to putrefy, and the slow cookers just aren’t cooking at all! Eco-Steve doesn’t care, though. Eco-Steve doesn’t use electricity, pesticides, or plastics. His produce is all Organic™ and, boy, don’t we all know about that. Good for you, Steve. The market is one of the most successful in all the land, bringing together foods and products from all over the world, and the charismatic characters that hand make them with love. Who could possibly sabotage such a place? We all think it’s Dodgy Darren but CHRIST ALIVE, GLADYS!?! Don’t go around telling people! Quick everyone, back to your stalls. The show must go on. (Specifically, an hour long sketch show of eccentric characters - yippee!)

'Bicameral' is a split-hour of stand-up from graduating Cambridge Footlight Isambard Dexter and Computer Science PhD candidate Jovan Singh Powar. As 2 young brown boys growing up in the early 2000s, unsurprisingly they have a lot in common. However, their comedy styles are strikingly different! They've joined forces to take on the one thing they're both concerned about: brands using Twitter. Or rather, how we need to be aware of the level to which technology is ingrained in our social lives (for better or worse). Far from being the old man down the pub who maintains that The World Wide Web increases fecklessness and idolatry in the youth, 'Bicameral' advocates for a sensible look at the virtual world in which we all live and how it is constructed.
