Christmas Vacation to Lent Week 0

ETG (European Theatre Group) is going on it's annual tour this December and we are looking for four people who are new to Cambridge Theatre this term to join us as technicians!

    What is ETG?

ETG, or the European Theatre Group, is a society which tours a Shakespeare play around European schools, universities and professional venues for two weeks at the beginning of December each year. This year we are taking A Midsummer Night's Dream to Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and France from the 7th to 20th of December before returning to Cambridge for a home run at the ADC in January. We are a company of 24, including cast, production team and a tech team, taking absolutely everything we need (including lights, our set and many suitcases!) on a converted coach. We are now just looking for four junior technicians to complete our team!

    How can I take part?

To find out more about the tour, and what the job of a technician includes, have a look at our application pack:

    Please note:

There is no experience required or expected for this role - the whole ethos of ETG is education!
Typically all the fresher technicians also take part in the CUADC or CUMTS fresher plays in week 6 (the ETG schedule can work around this!) but there is no requirement to apply for both.
You do not need to be a university fresher - ETG accepts any "theatre freshers" - which includes anyone who has not yet taken on a major role in a Cambridge show before this term!

Contact Emma at production.manager@cuetg.co.uk before 22nd Oct 2024 23:00 for more details.
