    SYNOPSIS

Cara’s supposed to be in her prime. She’s a fresh graduate with a stable job, a diet that
isn’t exclusively spaghetti hoops on toast, and the kind of boyfriend your grandparents
    like more than you.

But behind closed doors, she’s struggling to stay afloat as the chronic illness that
    blighted her undergrad resurfaces.

As her health deteriorates again, her dad faces redundancy, and an old friend comes
abruptly back into her life, Cara is confronted with harsh questions: to what extent
should she allow her health to determine her identity, and how much can she allow it to
    impact others?

Somebody / Nobody is a play about care - the intimate, often unconscious ways we give
and receive it - and chronic illness. It’s also about finding light amongst darkness,
whether in humour, relationships, or the occasional ultra processed food.

    PLEASE NOTE

As Somebody / Nobody looks at themes of chronic illness, we're particularly keen to hear
from applicants with experience and/or understanding of it. This is by no means a
prerequisite; we are just keen to reflect real life in our prod team and cast!

    ——————————————————————————————————————————

Stage Management Requirements: previous training by ADC staff required. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, organised, and a strong communicator to oversee our performances.

    As a one-set, 4-character play, Somebody / Nobody is an ideal, lower-commitment
project to work on in final term

Please send a brief (200 words max) summary of why you're interested in working on the
show and any previous experience you might have to Freya (she / her) at
fjmw2@cam.ac.uk by Friday 18th of April with the subject "S/N [Name of Role Applying
    For]".

Contact Fjmw2@cam.ac.uk before 18th Apr 2025 23:00 for more details.
