1816 is looking for a Wider Production Team! 1816: The Year Without A Summer is the Camden Fringe musical for CUMTS, with a run at the Fringe in the summer and a home run in Michaelmas 2025. When five Romantic authors are trapped inside together for the summer, literary masterpieces are born, relationships crumble, and chaos ensues. Join our team!

Trapped indoors by torrential rain, legendary writers Byron, Percy and Mary Shelley and their friends, Polidori and Claire, search for inspiration by the gloomy Lake Geneva. But things fall apart the longer they are stuck together. Polidori’s diary is brought to life in the 1816: The Year Without a Summer musical.
