    Swept up in the aestheticism movement, all of the well-to-do ladies in the village are vying for the attention of the two contrasting aesthetic village poets. Alas, their efforts are to no avail as both poets' hearts are set on Patience, the village milk-maid. Patience, who claims to have never loved a soul, is too embroiled in her own poetic endeavours to be interested. However, this all changes when an old childhood friend, one of the poets, reappears…

We're looking for a talented cast of singers and actors to join our cast! Opportunities are available for all voice parts at any level of experience. The Cambridge University Gilbert & Sullivan Society prides itself on its accessibility to people of all theatrical and musical backgrounds, so whether you've not performed on stage at all, or are coming from an experienced opera or musical theatre background, we would love to welcome you to our production!
